Christopher B. Anderson is a Partner at Hogan Marren Babbo & Rose, Ltd. Chris works with both institutional and professional health care providers, life science companies, and health care focused private equity funds on transactional, regulatory, and compliance matters. He frequently counsels clients and speaks on the development of strategic partnerships and initiatives designed to create synergies, advance quality, create efficiencies, and further align providers to take advantage of population health initiatives.

Chris’s hospital-physician integration experience encompasses mergers, acquisitions, and affiliations of health systems, large physician groups, and other ancillary providers, as well as the formation of accountable care organizations, traditional and contractual joint ventures, pay-for-performance and gain sharing programs, co-management agreements, efficiency projects, clinical integration and other partnership opportunities. Chris has also represented various private equity funds related to investment opportunities in the health care space.

Throughout his practice, Chris regularly advises clients on various fraud and abuse, self-referral, and overbilling questions, as well as HIPAA compliance, licensure, and antitrust problems.

Chris is experienced in redesigning medical staff organizations, revising medical staff bylaws, and representing hospitals in medical staff investigations, disciplinary actions, internal hearings, and subsequent reporting requirements.

Chris has handled guardianship matters and counsels institutional clients on informed consent and substituted decision making.

Chris is a member of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Association of Health Care Attorneys and co-chairs its membership committee. Chris has been selected as a “Rising Star” in Health Care by Super Lawyers for the past three years, as well as holding an AV Preeminent Rating in Health Care by Martindale Hubble.
