Christopher B. Anderson joined the law firm of Hogan Marren in 2006 as an Associate in their health care practice. His practice encompasses a wide spectrum of transactional and regulatory issues affecting both professional and institutional healthcare providers, including fraud and abuse, self-referral, HIPAA, EMTALA, corporate compliance, Medicare filings, mergers and acquisitions, tax-exemption, state licensure, and compliance with federal and state antitrust laws.
Previously, Mr. Anderson worked as a law clerk for the General Counsel's Office at Children's Memorial Hospital researching and preparing memoranda regarding various hospital operational issues and updating hospital policies to insure compliance with current laws and regulations.
Mr. Anderson received his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in 2006, with a Concentration in Health Law, and his B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame in 2001.
Mr. Anderson is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, and the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys. Mr. Anderson is a co-author of a chapter on Managed Care in the upcoming 3rd Edition of the Law of Medical Practice in Illinois.
Mr. Anderson was admitted to the Illinois State Bar in the fall of 2006, and was admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in January of 2007.
